Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction

Ahhh! The beautiful Superstition Mountains. The walk up the hill was the best part in my mind, but the boys liked the views over the valley best. Steven liked getting to the top and sitting on the bench looking at the view and eating a snack. I like looking at the mountains going up. We figured it is about 4 miles long. It was very green all across the desert floor. We took the Treasure loop trail to the Prospector Trail, to Jacob's Crosscut trail, and back to Treasure again. It cost $7.00 to get in. We would rate a 4 1/2. I thought it was a nice even constant upward, but the boys thought the length of the steepness made this a challenge. It would be particularly nice to visit when the flowers are in bloom...wish we had waited. Take a jacket! It was windy at the top!
